Jean French is an Associate Professor of Computer Science & Information Systems at Coastal Carolina University. \u00a0Before transitioning full-time to academia, she worked in the information technology field. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University (2011). \u00a0Her field research focuses on automatic affective video indexing in the area of information retrieval.
